Manage the coordination of the operational and compliance activities across sections of the Data & Documentation Management (DDM) organization. Responsible for results in terms of quality and conformance to regulations and the Baxter Quality System. 1. Manages the activities of several subteams within the DDM organization with responsibility for results in terms of operational and compliance goals. Operational activities include 483 certification, business support of BPLM development and use, CAPA/nonconformance execution, various audit support activities, driving continuous improvement opportunities, and reporting departmental metrics. 2. Administration of the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) program for global Baxter. 3. Implements quality system requirements across DDM subteams through the Certificate of Compliance process, oversees remediation efforts as required, and ensures continued compliance. 4. Understands and assures conformance to regulations and applicable standards (e.g. ISO) across DDM 5. Interfaces with / external auditors during inspections as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) 6. May participate in or manage quality assessments of internal operations and suppliers to analyze compliance and assess risk. 7. Interacts frequently with internal subordinates, DDM functional managers and various Corporate Quality peers and customers 8. Facilitates interactions with internal auditors, registration / certification bodies, during internal assessments of DDM / Shared Services 9. Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements across all areas of DDM. | Qualifications: | |
| 1. Thorough knowledge of applicable Quality procedures, specifications, and FDA regulations and standards. 2. Ability to manage/supervise a large team of employees 3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 4. Strong communication and leadership skills. 5. Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills 6. Strong project management skills. 7. BS required in science or engineering; advanced degree strongly preferred. 8. 7 years experience in Quality or Manufacturing and 5 years of management experience.
